Careful. Even now, they're looking for you. Navigate carefully through the site, and follow the recommended path at the bottom of each page to avoid being censored. If they catch you, it's over. Remember, once you're done, and spread the ideas present in this site. The world at large needs to know about censorship, and how deep it cuts through society.
Censorship has existed for centuries, and can be traced back to the roots of even Greco-Roman civilisation. Unfortunately, censorship has only grown as an issue, as the rise of new technologies that were supposed to be liberating, such as the internet, have served as a catalyst for the severe limitations on free speech present in many nations today.
While there is no doubt censorship can, to some extent, be beneficial, it does come with issues, such as the imbalance of power it can create within society. Generally, when censorship takes away the voices of the powerless and only allows for the voices of the extremely powerful to be heard, it makes it significantly harder for the powerless to instigate much-needed reform within society, ensuring the powerless remain powerless and the powerful retain their power.
